Hotel La Maison in Saarlouis

The “LA MAISON” hotel stands for high-grade architecture and regional appreciation. Responsible for this ambitious project on a total square of 5.000m² is CBAG.studio from Saarlouis.

Covered by a reticular garb of perforated Aluminum fold-curtains, this minimalistic cube demonstrates its convertible character und begins to live with the desires of the guests. The facade with its connected technique was realized for the first time worldwide.

“We’re working with a bent and perforated aluminum sheet whose anodized hue perfectly fits the environment.” The alternation between light and shadow, openness and solidity gives the severe facade a vital face. „Our objective is the development of places with identity and interaction for a more and more individualized society” explains Christina Beaumont the intention of CBAG.studio. Her partner adds “Beyond the poetic and subtle esthetics, the fold-curtain is created in a regional context as there is much metalworking industry in Saarland. In the La MAISON HOTEL, you can repeatedly find such associations or symbioses.
