The car park is part of the extensive EXPO Campus project on the former site of Expo 2000 in Hanover. The area is currently being developed as a location for innovation, housing and education. In addition to the iconic Dutch pavilion, which has been revitalised and will become the centre of the area, micro-apartments, co-working spaces, sports and communal areas and the car park have been built there.

The car park is a new construction that is being built as part of this campus ensemble.

In spring 2025, or by around May/June, the five-storey car park will be built next to the Dutch pavilion. The façade surfaces are largely perforated with images that abstractly reflect motifs from the 2000 World Expo.
