The construction of the modern multi-storey car park at Stavanger Airport, providing space for 2,300 vehicles, focused on functional architecture and the highest safety standards. A key element of the building envelope is the perforated metal façade manufactured and supplied by us.

Architecture and Function

The corrugated façade panels were manufactured from high-quality aluminium. To provide long-lasting protection against the harsh, salt-laden coastal climate of the Norwegian North Sea, the elements were finished with an elegant, dark gold-toned anodised surface (E6/C32 anodising).

The precisely manufactured round perforations (RV 18–28and RV 20–28), combined with a material thickness of 2 mm, ensure the required natural cross-ventilation and continuous air exchange throughout the building.

During the day, the wave-like structure creates a delicate interplay of light and shadow while providing effective visual screening. After dark, this effect is reversed: the interior lighting makes the perforated façade appear almost transparent when viewed from outside.
