After 2.5 years of construction, the ‘Am Hirschgarten’ multi-storey car park opened in Erfurt on 1 August 2024. The multi-storey car park is centrally located on the edge of the city centre. There are 548 parking spaces available on 15 levels. There are also 32 charging stations for electric cars installed on the ground floor. The special feature of the façade is the curved, wave-like shape that runs around the building. To achieve this, metal sheets are bent and mounted in different radii and depths. Between these sheets are perforated sheets that guarantee the flow of air.

The environmental aspect was emphasised in this project. For example, the roof surface was planted with grasses and shrubs. An insect hotel and a sand pit for bees and wasps were also provided. A total area of 9826 square metres offers enough space to provide residents and visitors with sufficient parking facilities.
